WILMINGTON, Del. — The community of St. Paul’s Church here closed the year of St. Paul last month with Mass celebrated by two bishops.
Bishop W. Francis Malooly (at left in photo) and retired Auxiliary Bishop Michael Saltarelli (right) concelebrated Mass on June 29, the feast of St. Paul, with Pastor Todd Carpenter, OFM, and Vicar Michael Tyson, OFM.
Approximately 150 people attended the bilingual Mass, according to an article in The Dialog, the newspaper of the Diocese of Wilmington, in which Bishop Malooly urged the congregation to spread the Catholic faith.
The Province’s parish in Triangle, Va., St. Francis of Assisi, also held an event to commemorate the feast of St. Paul.
Editor’s note: A report about Michael Tyson’s thousand-man rally will appear in the next issue of HNP Today.
