NEW YORK – The Province’s Vocation Office held several weekend events recently for men considering the Franciscan life. They included a Franciscan Experience Weekend at Holy Cross Friary in the Bronx, N.Y., in November, and a Hospitality Weekend in December at St. Anthony Shrine in Boston.
Details about the Bronx weekend, as well as a letter from Brian Smail, OFM, Province vocation director, a reflection by Stephen Lynch, OFM, and a list of 2008 events can be found in the Christmas 2007 issue of Insight & Wisdom. The publication is available online and in hard copy at the Provincial Office on West 31st Street and at many of the Province’s parishes and ministry sites.
The Vocation Office also welcomed a new member to its team last month. Carolyn Croke, above, a parishioner of the Province’s St. Stephen of Hungary Church in Manhattan, began her position as administrative assistant in early December.
