NEW YORK, N.Y. – The friars of Holy Name Province are reminded to return their completed registration forms for the 2007 fraternal gatherings to the provincial office by Jan. 12.
These six sessions are being held at four locations throughout February and March. All friars were asked in December to participate in one of the events scheduled at various retreat and renewal centers, according to Michael Harlan.
As preparation for their gatherings, the friars will discuss at the January house chapters the data provided to them by the Province’s Visioning and Planning Committee.
Executive summaries of the two reports provided by Brown University sociology professor Dr. Ann Dill of her analyses of the friars’ 2006 information were mailed to all friars on Dec. 29 just before the New Year’s holiday and National Day of Mourning.
According to John O’Connor, these house chapters are an important step in building a rich conversation that will culminate in the articulation of our Province’s Vision at the Chapter of Mats.
“The input that we receive from each house is extremely valuable,” John said. “I look forward to seeing it.”
