The Provincial Administration has announced new assignments for five friars.
Michael Johnson, OFM, has been appointed by General Minister Fr. Michael Perry, OFM, and his General Definitory as General Visitor for the Province of the Holy Spirit (Australia and New Zealand). Michael is currently in Rome at a training session for visitors and will begin his duties in 2016.
Walter Liss, OFM, has been appointed associate director of postulants and has been assigned to Holy Name College in Silver Spring, Md., effective Jan. 1. He will be preparing to assume his role as director of postulants with the 2016 class.
Christopher Posch, OFM, has been appointed to serve at St. Camillus Parish in Silver Spring, Md., pending diocesan approval. Emerson Rodriguez, OFM, has been appointed to succeed Chris as director of the Office of Hispanic Ministry for the Diocese of Wilmington, Del. The six-month transition process will begin with Emerson’s arrival in Wilmington on Dec. 11.
Michael Reyes, OFM, has been assigned to Sacred Heart Friary in Tampa, Fla., effective Feb. 1, 2016, after his ordination in January.
