NEW YORK — The Provincial Administration has announced new assignments for eight friars.
Paul Chelus, OFM, has been assigned to St. Anthony Friary, Butler, N.J., effective Aug. 20. He will provide fraternal support there as well as assist with home visitation of parishioners at nearby St. Anthony Church.
Henry Fulmer, OFM, has been appointed parish life facilitator at St. Joseph Church, Anderson, S.C., where he will administer the parish, effective July 19.
Angelo Gambatese, OFM, has been assigned to St. Anthony Friary, Butler, effective July 13.
Michael Jones, OFM, and Aubrey McNeil, OFM, have been appointed sacramental ministers at St. Joseph Parish in Anderson, effective July 19. Aubrey will remain pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Parish, also in Anderson.
Philip O’Shea, OFM, and John Van Hook, OFM, have been assigned to Holy Name Friary, Ringwood, N.J., effective July 12 and July 18 respetrively.
Ignatius Smith, OFM, has been assigned to St. Bernardine of Siena Friary in Loudonville, N.Y., from which he will minister at St. Francis Chapel in Colonie, N.Y., effective Sept. 8.
