NEW YORK — The Provincial Administration has announced new assignments for six friars. All are pending approval from the local ordinary.
John Alderson, OFM, has been assigned to St. Patrick Friary, Buffalo, N.Y., as senior friar in residence, effective Aug. 10. He will be assisting at Our Lady of Charity Parish and with the religious education programs at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, as well as working with three religious sisters in providing grief counseling and burial services through the Lombardo funeral homes.
Frank Critch, OFM, has been assigned to the St. Peter Claver fraternity in Macon, Ga., and will work at Mount De Sales Academy in Macon, effective Sept. 1.
Gerald Hopeck, OFM, has withdrawn from the Province and the Order, effective Aug. 19.
William McIntyre, OFM, has been assigned to the St. Peter Claver fraternity in Macon, where he will serve as pastor, effective Sept. 1.
Howard O’Shea, OFM, has been assigned to Holy Name Friary in Ringwood, N.J., effective Aug. 10.
Paul Santoro, OFM, has been assigned to the St. Peter Claver fraternity in Macon, where he will work at Daybreak resource center for the homeless, effective Sept. 1
