HNP Communications Friar News

The Provincial Administration has announced assignment changes for five friars and welcomes a new friar to the province.

Michael Carnevale, OFM, has been assigned to St. Francis of Assisi Friary in New York City as parochial vicar at St. Francis Church, effective June 26.

Kevin Daly, OFM, has been assigned to St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Long Beach Island, N.J., effective Aug.  1.

Neil O’Connell, OFM, is assigned to the infirmary at St. Elizabeth Motherhouse in Allegany, N.Y., effective June 26.

Ronald Stark, OFM, has been assigned to St. Anthony Friary in St. Petersburg, Fla., as a retiree, effective May 24.

Ramon Razon, OFM, has been given permission to live outside a house of the Order of Friars Minor for one year, effective June 1. He will continue to be attached to St. Francis Friary on West 31st Street, New York City.

The Province welcomes Ron Gliatta, OFM, who has been accepted into Holy Name Province on a provisional basis, effective July 1. He had been a member of Immaculate Conception Province and is assigned to St. Anthony  Friary in Butler, N.J.

“We are happy to warmly welcome Ron to Holy Name Province as a guest worker who has petitioned to transfer permanently to this province after a suitable period of probation (usually two years),” said Provincial Minister Kevin Mullen, OFM.  “I’m sure that the friar community  in Butler will make Ron feel right at home in his new fraternity.”
