At its September meeting, the Provincial Council made several changes in local leadership positions, effective until the Provincial Chapter in June 2014.

Todd Carpenter, OFM, has been appointed guardian of St. Paul Friary, Wilmington, Del., replacing Ronald Pecci, OFM, who moved with the postulant program to Silver Spring, Md.

After reviewing the operations of St. Anthony Shrine in Boston, the Council has decided to initiate a new administrative structure there, at least until the Chapter. Thomas Conway, OFM, has been appointed executive director of the shrine’s ministries, effective Sept. 17. The role of guardian of the friar community has been assigned to John Hogan, OFM. James Kelly, OFM, will step aside as guardian and director of the shrine in light of the reorganization of the shrine’s administrative structure. James will be going on sabbatical before he begins his next assignment.

Joseph Nangle, OFM, has been named guardian and director of formation at Holy Name College in Silver Spring, Md., replacing Tom Conway.
