NEW YORK – The year 2017 included many beginnings for Holy Name Province. The friars returned to the Diocese of Orlando for the first time since 1996 when they began ministering at the parishes of St. Joseph and St. Maximilian Kolbe, as well as Saints Peter and Paul. The post-novitiate community moved from Washington, D.C., to Chicago, and 15 postulants from around the United States came together at Holy Name College in Washington to form the first interprovincial postulancy program for the U.S. Friars Minor. And, during the Provincial Chapter in June, a new Provincial Council was elected.
The Province also celebrated personal milestones of many brothers, including two friars who were ordained to the priesthood, two who professed their solemn vows, and six novices who received the Franciscan habit. One friar even celebrated his 100th birthday.
The Communications Office covered these and a wide variety of other topics. Below are the most popular articles of each of HNP Today’s 25 e-newsletters produced last year.
Data used to determine the top stories was collected from Google Analytics.
