COPACABANA, Bolivia — The Provincial Council of the St. Anthony Missionary Province has appointed Thomas Kornacki to fill a vacant seat on the Council. Upon receiving the news of his appointment, Tom left Cochabamba to join the Council at its meeting here.
The Council seat became vacant when Jorge Herbas, OFM, was named as bishop coadjutor for the prelature of Aiquile, Bolivia. Jorge will serve with Bishop Adalberto Rosat, OFM. Jorge will be consecrated March 24 by Cardinal Julio Terrazas, the Archbishop of Santa Cruz; Archbishop Ivo Scapolo, the Apostolic Nuncio to Bolivia; and Adalberto.
