HNP Communications Around the Province

NEW YORK — One year ago — on Sept. 13 — Holy Name Province’s new building on West 31st Street here was dedicated. New York Cardinal Edward Egan and Mayor Michael Bloomberg were among the VIPs at the festive event.

The building at 129 West 31st Street is home to the St. Francis of Assisi Friary, Holy Name Province’s headquarters, the Provincial Office, and a conference room and reception hall.  Adjoining the Province’s offices and friary is The Epic, a skyscraper housing both luxury and low-income apartments, and the New York offices of American Cancer Society.

31stBldg_0028Since last September, a variety of functions have taken place in the building: 
• Receptions after ordinations, jubilee Masses, and solemn professions
• A day of recollection for Presbyterian ministers 
• Gatherings of Siena College and St. Bonaventure University alumni
• A Mass and reception for supporters of the Mt. Irenaeus community
• Classes and workshops sponsored by St. Francis of Assisi Parish next door
• Fraternal gatherings
