BOSTON, Mass. — A series of staff in-service development days has been launched at St. Anthony Shrine by Gary Convertino, the Shrine’s director of human resources and human services.
The theme of the first program was sexual harassment in the workplace, followed by an in-service day featuring Franciscan Spirituality in the Workplace. Before each presentation, the staff is invited to attend an “appreciation luncheon” prepared by the Shrine’s kitchen staff.
Both of these days have been very successful, according to John Maganzini who is one of five presenters . One staff member said that “these experiences help us to feel a deeper sense of community,” John said.
“We plan on offering eight in-service days per year,” Gary said.
