HNP Communications Around the Province

NEW YORK — The Province’s annual jubilee celebration and solemn profession of vows are the main events highlighting the summer months for Holy Name. Both will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Church on West 31st Street in Manhattan.

On June 24, the 15 friars who this year are celebrating 25 and 50 years of profession will be recognized at the Province’s annual jubilee celebration. A Mass is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Profiles of each of the 2010 jubilarians can be found in this newsletter, beginning with the article that appears in the Feb. 17 issue about John Heffernan, OFM.

On Aug. 21, four friars will profess their final Franciscan vows at an 11 a.m. Mass. They are Cidouane Joseph, OFM, a native of Haiti, Robert Lentz, OFM, originally from Colorado, Erick Lopez, OFM, a native of Cuba, and Paul O’Keeffe, OFM, originally from Massachusetts. Information about these friars can be found on the vocation page of the HNP website, the “Join Us” page.
