CINCINNATI — St. John the Baptist Province’s Franciscan Radio, which appeared as “Featured Website” in the May 22 edition of CathNews USA, describes itself as “an electronic ministry of St. Anthony Messenger Press, to fulfill its mission to spread the Word that is Jesus Christ.”
The Web site, www.FranciscanRadio.org, includes links to Catholic radio networks and individual stations, as well as the Catholic Web sites that feature audio resources.
Audio of American Catholic Radio, a weekly half-hour program of Catholic information and inspiration; Sunday Soundbites, a weekly 90-second radio homily based on Sunday readings; and Saint of the Day, a daily 90-second audio feature from St. Anthony Messenger Press, are all available in Windows Media or MP3 format for free. Listeners also have the option to subscribe to each as a podcast in iTunes.
A variety of other audio is available on the site, including a Lenten radio retreat, reflections from Richard Rohr, OFM, resources about Mother Teresa and Francis and his followers.
