Sisters Host Discernment Retreats

HNP Communications Franciscan World

ALLEGANY, N.Y. — The Franciscan Sisters of Allegany invite women who are considering religious life to participate in one of the community’s discernment retreats.

Seven retreats are being held in a variety of locations from New England to Florida and the West Indies.

Discerning a Vocation

The retreats are held for women who are listening to God’s call, and discerning a vocation to religious life. In addition to considering the topics of call, discernment and the elements of religious life, the retreats provide time for reflection, prayer and liturgy.

Women find these retreats helpful in their discernment process, according to the community’s Web site.  They enjoy sharing with other women who are on the same journey. The retreats also give a glimpse into the life of the sisters and community.

Registration can be done online, by phone, and by e-mail to vocation director Sr. Mary McNally at fsavoc@aol.com
