LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. — Friars, alumni, staff members and friends of Siena College are invited to participate in a pilgrimage this spring that will take them to historic sites in Italy including Rome, Assisi, Siena and Florence. The May 19 to 30 trip includes visits to some of the “most beloved places” in Siena’s Franciscan heritage, according to an announcement on the college’s website.
Deposits for the trip are required by Feb. 15.
“We have room for a few more participants and would like to invite any interested friars to join us,” said Kevin Mullen, OFM, Siena president, in a recent note to friars. “Patterned after the popular Provincial La Verna ongoing formation programs, held the past four years, the pilgrimage promises to be an enjoyable fraternal experience as we visit interesting places and look forward to some wonderful meals.”
Interested participants can visit the Siena College website and click the pilgrimage box for information about the schedule and other details connected with the program.
Additional information can be obtained by e-mailing F. Edward Coughlin, OFM, who led the LaVerna pilgrimages and who with Sr. Violet Grennan, MFIC, is leading this journey.
