LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. — The Siena College men’s basketball team will embark on a 14-day tour of Northern Italy on Aug. 16.  Tour stops include Lake Como, Venice, San Marino, Florence, Siena and Rome.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many of our guys,” head coach Fran McCaffery said. “We are excited about the trip and hope many of our fans will be able to join us. In addition to experiencing all that Italy has to offer, we will grow closer as a team and learn more about one another.”

The Saints board a direct flight from New York to Milan on Aug. 16, and head to nearby Lake Como, where they will spend two days. On Aug. 19, they take the four-hour journey to Venice for two days. After a one-day stop in San Marino for a walking tour and friendly game with a local team, the group heads to picturesque Florence for two days. A stop at the Tuscan hill town of Siena precedes the tour’s final three days in Rome. They return Aug. 29.
