Siena Appoints Blaise Reinhart Emeritus Professor

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. — Blaise Reinhart was appointed earlier this month as an emeritus professor of economics at Siena College.

Blaise,  a native of College Point, N.Y., has taught economics in Siena’s school of business for decades. He entered the Franciscan Order in 1950, and made his first profession in 1951, and was ordained to the priesthood on June 9, 1955.  A graduate of St. Bonaventure University, Blaise holds a Ph.D. from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

During his years at Siena, Blaise has held the administrative posts of chairman of the economics department, dean of men, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Dean of the School of Business.  He has frequently served as chaplain for cruise ships throughout the world.
