ST. LOUIS — The Provincial Council of Sacred Heart Province elected three new leaders on June 30. The election was the result of the recent vacancy left by Fr. Michael Perry, OFM, when he was elected General Vicar of the Order of Friars Minor during its General Chapter.
The new leaders are:
· Fr. William Spencer, OFM, provincial minister
· Fr. Michael Jenrich, OFM, provincial vicar, as before
· Fr. Joseph Zimmermann, OFM, provincial councilor to take the place of Fr. William
Prior to his election as provincial minister, Fr. William was provincial councilor and pastor of St. Peter’s Church-in-the-Loop. The administration position terms end in 2011, the time of Sacred Heart’s next provincial chapter.
