Registration for the Franciscan Forum Extended to May 15

ALLEGANY, N.Y. – The Franciscan Institute at St. Bonaventure University has extended to May 15 the registration deadline for its Franciscan Forum VII being held June 7 to June 10.

The event, titled “Daring to Embrace the Other: Franciscans and Muslims in Dialogue”,  will be held at the Franciscan Retreat Center at Mount St. Francis in Colorado Springs, Colo. Information is available on the Web site of the center as well as on the site of the Franciscan Institute.

This fall, the institute will be holding the first conference in a four-conference series.  The event, called the Scotus Quadruple Congress at St. Bonaventure University, is scheduled for Oct. 18 to 21.

The Franciscan Institute, established in 1939, has several new releases that can be ordered through its Web site.   The publications can be purchased at a 10 percent discount price before June 15.

Members of Holy Name Province are being offered a reduced price for Writings on the Spiritual Life, with introduction and notes by Edward Coughlin. It is volume X of the Bonaventure Texts in Translation series and ordinarily retails for $40.  A special price of $24 plus shipping is offered to HNP friars who order by Friday, June 8, according to Sr. Daria Mitchell, interim managing editor of Franciscan Institute Publications.
