Provincial Office Announces Staff Changes

HNP Communications Around the Province

NEW YORK — Two promotions and a number of role shifts are among the staffing changes that have been implemented over the past few months at the Provincial Office on West 31st Street.

Administration
Sharon Berrios has been promoted to executive secretary. She was hired by the Province in 2000.

Benjamin Simpson has temporarily assumed the role of administrative assistant for the Provincial Office. He will be leaving in August to attend law school, bringing to an end his more than five-year tenure with the office.

Communications Office
Maria Hayes has been promoted to director of marketing, working primarily on the Province’s website and strategic marketing initiatives. The Western New York native joined HNP’s staff in summer 2012 as a communications coordinator and, in 2017, received a master of arts degree in integrated marketing communications from St. Bonaventure University.

Jim McIntosh, OFM, has been hired as a part-time communications assistant.  He works  in the Provincial Office, as well as remotely from the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady Church-Friary in Wood-Ridge, N.J., where he is guardian. Jim is also webmaster for the USFranciscans.org.

Vocation Office
Jorge Martins has been hired as an administrator in the Vocation Office. The New Jersey resident graduated in 2017 from Montclair State University with a bachelor in fine arts degree in illustration and animation.

“These staff changes bring new life to our office,” said Provincial Minister Kevin Mullen, OFM.  “They’ll help both the Province as well as the employees,creating opportunities to expand their skills and contributions.”
