Provincial Annals Submissions Due May 15

HNP Communications Around the Province

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. — Julian Davies, OFM, has requested all materials to be considered for inclusion in the 2012 Provincial Annals be submitted no later than May 15.

This deadline on 2011 events has been extended from the May 1 date reported in the Jan. 18 issue of HNP Today.

Although the deadline has been postponed two weeks, Julian, who lives at St. Bernadine of Siena Friary in Loudonville, notes that “earlier is better, of course.”

Reports should be brief and highlight friar ministries and life, he said. Submissions can be made both electronically and in hard copy and, Julian said, photos sent electronically should be high resolution.

davies2Contributors to this annual publication have traditionally been friars although, through the years, a variety of lay men and women — usually staff members at the Province’s more than 40 ministries — have also written and submitted reports.

Julian, a philisophy professor at Siena College, has edited the Provincial Annals since the 1980s. The publication is distributed to the HNP houses each autumn.

Historical information about the Province is provided each month in HNP Today in the series titled “This Month in Provincial History.”
