NEW YORK — After a two-month summer break, the HNP Wellness Committee met this month to review outstanding issues generated by the Province-wide Wellness Survey, and decided upon remaining topics to be addressed.
The committee also discussed the next phase of its work, and how information will be disseminated. Provincial Minister John O’Connor, OFM, joined the group, encouraging the committee to think outside the box as it discerns new directions and ideas.
J. Patrick Kelly, OFM, committee chair, said it is hoped that proposals will be made to the Provincial Council that will encompass the next three years of the committee’s work. The next topic to be presented in HNP Today will be about strength training, according to Jim.
The Province’s Wellness Committee includes members of the Province and their partners in ministry who are knowledgeable in health issues. The committee will meet again in November.
