NEW YORK — Fifteen friars are being honored this week with a liturgy and dinner at St. Francis of Assisi Church to commemorate the anniversaries of their first professon of vows.

The jubilee celebration will be held tomorrow — Thursday, June 21 – beginning with a 5:30 p.m Eucharistic liturgy.

More than 125 guests are expected at the preprandium and dinner that follows the liturgy, the first provincial gathering in the new friary on 31st Street, according to Michael Harlan, secretary of Holy Name Province.  The friars being honored have given more than 675 years of service in the Province, Michael said.

Details about the event will appear in a future issue of HNP Today.
