NEW YORK — Chairs of seven Province directorates were announced this month by the Council. All Holy Name friars have been invited to complete an interest form and return it to the Provincial Office by Sept. 5 indicating interest in one of the following directorates:
► Evangelization, a new directorate: David McBriar, OFM, and Lawrence Hayes, OFM
► Finances: Thomas Conway, OFM, and John Piccione, OFM
► Formation and Studies: Dominic Monti, OFM
► Fraternal Life: Daniel Kenna, OFM, and Anthony LoGalbo, OFM
► Justice, Peace, Integrity of Creation: William Jud Weiksnar, OFM, and Jacek Orzechowski, OFM
► Ministerial Development: Stephen Kluge, OFM, and Stephen Patti, OFM
► Sick and Retired: John Mahon, OFM
HNP’s directorates and committees are described by the Provincial Council as “working bodies that assist the Provincial Administration in meeting its goals in light of the chapter’s vision and mandates,” according to a memo that was sent to Holy Name friars on August 6.
Individuals will be appointed to serve on a directorate or committee for a three-year period. Each directorate and committee will include a friar who has been solemnly professed for five years of less, according to the memo distributed by Provincial Secretary Michael Harlan, OFM.
Members of most of the new groups will hold their first meetings this fall.
