Province Plans Six Fraternal Gatherings

HNP Communications In the Headlines

NEW YORK – The first of six Fraternal Gatherings being held by Holy Name Province this season will be at St. Anthony Friary in St. Petersburg, Fla., from Feb. 26 to 28.

These gatherings provide friars with the opportunity to review first drafts of the Province’s strategic plan, according to Provincial Secretary Michael Harlan, OFM, who is helping plan the events with members of the Province’s Visioning and Planning Committee. Friars must attend one of these gatherings to be able to participate in the Province’s chapter this June.

Each of the programs will begin in the late afternoon and conclude with lunch on the third day, according to leaders of the Visioning and Planning committee.

Most of the more than 350 Holy Name friars will be attending one of these events.
The remaining five gatherings are set for these dates:

  • Feb. 29 – March 2 in Marriottsville, Md.
  • March 4 – March 6 in Long Branch, N.J.
  • March 12 – March 14 in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
  • March 26 – March 28 in Mystic, Conn.
  • April 7 – April 9 in Tampa, Fla.

The retreat venues can be found on the Friars Only section of the Province’s Web site. For more information, contact Michael at the Provincial Office.
