HARTFORD, Conn. — Holy Name Province will host its first Come and See Servant Leadership Retreat, Sept. 21-23, at Loyola Retreat House along the banks of the Potomac River in Faulkner, Md.
The retreat is open to HNP friars, staff and parishioners who want to learn more about servant leadership, create community and discern whether a program is right for their church or ministry, according to Melina Rudman, director of Servant Leadership at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Parish in Hartford, who is coordinating the event. Retreat participants will receive a copy of the Beginnings curriculum, a nine-month, 17-topic formation experience written by Rudman.
The retreat was planned in response to last fall’s successful Partners In Ministry (PIM) Days, gatherings throughout the Province that explored servant leadership and partnership.
The air-conditioned Loyola Retreat House , shown in photo, offers single rooms with private half-baths. Showers are at the end of each corridor. All expenses, including travel and retreat costs, will be reimbursed by the Province.
