NEW YORK — Funeral services were held this week for Kathryn Hyland of Bayside, N.Y., who died Dec. 1.
Hyland, 64, a member of the Sisters of St. Dominic (of Amityville, N.Y.) for 30 years, was a member of the campus ministry team at St. Bonaventure University in the mid 1970s. She served in several capacities for Holy Name Province, as a member of the Board of Admissions and as a consulting psychologist for the Vocation Office.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 4 at the Church of St. Anne in Garden City, N.Y. Provincial Minister John O’Connor, OFM, who worked with Hyland at SBU, presided. Interment was at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, N.Y.
