Province Launches New Website

HNP Communications Around the Province

NEW YORK — If you’re a long-time reader of this newsletter, chances are you’ve noticed that Holy Name Province’s website looks a little different.

This month, HNP.org debuted a new website design, featuring a brighter, more modern look and new branding. With more visuals and a clean design, the Provincial website is well-suited to share the Gospel message with its visitors.

The design of the Provincial logo, the IHS Christogram surrounded by sunbeams on a gold background, has been modernized to fit the new website’s theme. The new Provincial logo pairs with the Vocation Office logo, which features a friar with his arms raised in praise, surrounded by sunbeams on a green background. The gold of the Provincial logo and the green of the Vocation Office logo are meant to evoke Brother Sun and Mother Earth from St. Francis’s Canticle of Creation, underscoring the Province’s commitment to advocating for environmental and social justice.

The new website also incorporates vocation content that previously was housed on a separate website. Men who are discerning a vocation can now use the same website to find information and the latest news about the Province and its ministries, as well as learn how to become a friar and submit their initial contact form. Vocation information can be accessed by visiting the “Become a Friar” section of the website, or by using the shortcut BeAFranciscan.org.

“The website will help us in two significant ways,” said Provincial Minister Kevin Mullen, OFM. “Friars will more readily use it because it is accessible, and people from outside of the Province will be able to find answers to their questions, which always is a boost to our visibility.”

“This new design will allow us to share the Province’s story in new and exciting ways,” said Maria Hayes, director of marketing, who oversaw the project. “By adding more vocation content to HNP.org, we hope to make it easier for men who are interested in joining Holy Name Province to learn more about the friars and their ministry.”

“I am grateful to Maria, her advisors, and the people she worked with to get the website functional,” Kevin said. “It was a lot of hard work, but well worth the effort.”

A donation platform has also been added to the Provincial website, allowing the Province’s supporters to make a one-time or recurring gift. Donors also have the opportunity to make a gift in honor of a loved one. To make a donation to the Province, visit the “Donate” page.
