Jocelyn Thomas has accepted the position of director of communications for Holy Name Province.
A journalism graduate of St. Bonaventure University, Allegany, N.Y., Jocelyn has more than 25 years of experience in the field of communications and marketing. She has been most recently employed at Embryon, Inc., a medical education and communications agency in Somerville, N.J. Her career includes writing, editing, and print production management. Jocelyn’s first job was as a reporter for the Peekskill, N.Y., Evening Star, where several SBU alumni were on staff.
Currently, she is an officer on St. Bonaventure’ss National Alumni Board as well as for the board directors of the Parkinson’s Unity Walk, a charity and commumity event held in New York’s Central Park. In addition, Jocelyn is copy editor for the publications of The Catholic Community of St. Matthias in Somerset, N.J., the town where she lives.
Jocelyn, who is the first lay person to serve as HNP communications director, will assume her position shortly after Labor Day. She will be supervising both internal and external communications for the Provvnce. More details will follow in a future issue.
