NEW YORK — Holy Name Province is mourning the deaths of three friars’ relatives.
Muriel Kluge, mother of Stephen Kluge, OFM, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Long Beach Island, N.J., died May 31. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 4 at St. Peter’s Church, Point Pleasant Beach, N.J.
Evelyn Baecker, aunt of Cassian Miles, OFM, of Butler, N.J., died June 1.
Gabriel Pecci, father of Ronald Pecci, OFM, of Wilmington, Del., died June 4. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered June 7 at St. Therese Church in Cresskill, N.J.
Additionally, friars are mourning the loss of Fr. Paul Guthrie, OFM, of Assumption Province, who died June 1. Fr. Paul made his novitiate with Holy Name Province at St. Bonaventure Friary, Paterson, N.J, from 1949 to 1950
