The Province is mourning the death of the first African American to be ordained to the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of Charleston, S.C.
Rev. Mr. Henry Dillard, 86, died on March 8. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on March 14 at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Greenville, S.C.
