Holy Name Province is mourning the deaths of friars’ relatives and a friend of the Province.
George Campion, 61, cousin of Fred Dilger, OFM, of Philadelphia, died Jan. 4.
Martha Kim, mother of Francis Kim, OFM, of Butler, N.J., died Jan. 6 in South Korea. A Memorial Mass will be offered at a later date.
Steven McDonald, 59, a New York Police Department detective who was shot in the line of duty and paralyzed in 1986, died on Jan. 10. An advocate for peace, Steven was a friend of FDNY fire chaplains Christopher Keenan, OFM, the late Mychal Judge, OFM, and other members of Holy Name Province. His funeral Mass was celebrated on Jan. 13 at St. Patrick Cathedral, New York City.
