Frederick Conlin Jr., 81, uncle of Michael Johnson, OFM, of Silver Spring, Md., died March 24. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated April 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, West Springfield, Mass.
Robert Cunniff, 63, a former friar, died March 25. A funeral Mass was celebrated March 29 at St. Paul Episcopal Church in Washington.
Fr. Zachary Hayes, OFM, 81, of Sacred Heart Province, died March 16. One of the most renowned American scholars of the theology of St. Bonaventure in the 20th century, Fr. Zachary taught at the Franciscan Institute, Allegany, N.Y., and was a Franciscan Institute Medal recipient.
Dorothy Kinderman, 91, a former secretary of St. Anthony’s Guild for 55 years and an affiliate of the Province, died March 30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated April 4 at St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson, N.J.
