Province Extends Sympathy to Families of Deceased

The Province is mourning the deaths of a friar’s uncle, the brother of a former St. Bonaventure University Board of Trustees chair, and three Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, N.Y.

Walter Harrington, uncle of Brian Smail, OFM, of New York City, died November 20.

Sr. Adele Hugue, OSF, 101, died November 2 at Immaculate Conception Covent in Kingston, Jamaica.

Sr. Mary Keull, OSF, died November 8 at St. Elizabeth Motherhouse healthcare center in Allegany.

James McGinley, brother of Jack McGinley, chairman of St. Bonaventure’s board of trustees from 2004 to 2012, died November 8. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Bede Church in Pittsburgh.

Donations may be made in the name of James S. McGinley to Holy Name Province for the people of New York who were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Sr. Catherine Sushil, OSF, died November 7 at St. Elizabeth Motherhouse.
