Two friends of the Holy Name Province Community — a former friar and a Poor Clare — have died recently.
Msgr. Thomas Cassidy, a former friar and priest in the Diocese of Arlington, Va., died Oct. 1, just days after his 83rd birthday. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 6 at St. Mark’s Church in Vienna, Va.
Sr. Mary Richard Comeau, OSC, died Oct. 4 at the age of 89. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Oct. 8 at the Monastery of St. Clare, Andover, Mass.
