The Holy Name Province community is mourning the deaths of two friars’ relatives.
Dorothy Hipp, aunt of the late John Mahon, OFM, died Dec. 21 at the age of 98. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 27 at Mary Manning Walsh Home in New York, where she resided.
Ann Murphy, grandmother of Daniel Horan, OFM, of Silver Spring, Md., died Jan. 1. A Mass of Christian Burial is being offered Jan. 7 Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Utica, N.Y.
In addition, the Province extends sympathy to the families of two dear friends who recently passed away.
Rosemary Kerr, a former Franciscan Sister of Allegany, died Dec. 23 in New York City. Funeral arrangements are pending.
John Walsh, an affilitate of Holy Name Provine, died Dec. 26. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 30 at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church in Hartford, Conn.
