NEW YORK – Holy Name’s Web site has been modified to include more information about events around the Province. Click on www.hnp.org to find both upcoming and past events.
Visitors to the Province’s home page will now be able to view a list of upcoming events in a more readable format.
In an ongoing efforts to improve the usefulness of the HNP Web site, the Communications Office has added a new feature (RSS) to the homepage. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is an alternative to signing up for e-mail alerts or checking the HNP Website regularly for new content.
The Communications Office has added RSS feeds for both Upcoming Events and New & Noteworthy postings – two sections of the Web site that are updated on a regular basis. By subscribing to our RSS feeds, you will receive automatic notification of updates posted to the Website which are downloaded to an RSS reader.
Those unfamiliar with RSS can learn more about this useful feature at the following Web site: www.whatisrss.com.
Other Web Enhancements
The Province is also enhancing other features of its site including:
• The Justice and Peace page, which will soon include information about how people can help with five initiatives – immigration, community-investing, twinning, integrity of creation, and peace-building
• A photo gallery of pictures taken at Province events to be available next month
• An expansion of the Friar’s-Only section with more internal news for members of Holy Name Province
Site visitors are reminded to refresh their screens to see the Province’s home page change.
