NEW YORK — Holy Name Province’s director of postulants John Maganzini, OFM, has announced two formation events this summer at St. Anthony Shrine in Boston.
On July 26, several new postulants will move into St. Anthony Shrine. Friars are invited to an Aug. 16 celebration of the rite of candidacy for postulants at 5:15 p.m. in the friars’ chapel.
Other events are planned around the Province over the next three months.

• June 5 — Reunion weekends at St. Bonaventure University, Allegany, N.Y., and Siena College, Loudonville, N.Y.
• June 6 — Simple profession of vows in Wilmington, Del.
• June 13 — Celebrations of the feast of St. Anthony, at parishes throughout the Province
• June 14 — Mass and renaming of street “Franciscan Way” at Holy Cross Church in the Bronx
• June 24 — Anniversary celebration at St. Francis Friends of the Poor Residence II on West 22nd Street, New York
• June 24 — Jubilee celebration of profession at St. Francis of Assisi Church, West 31st Street, New York
• June 27 — Wellness workshop in New York for HNP guardians
July
• July 11 — Bonafest at St. Bonaventure Church, Allegany, N.Y.
• July 17 to 19 — Franciscan Sojourners Retreat at Mt. Irenaeus, West Clarksville, N.Y.
August
• Aug. 15 — Franciscan Volunteer Ministry opens its 21st season, Philadelphia
• Aug. 18 to 19 — Meeting of the communication directors of the OFM English-speaking Conference in California
• Aug. 22 — Solemn profession of vows at St. Francis of Assisi Church, New York
