NEW YORK —Holy Name Province is praying for the families of five friars who lost loved ones recently.
Olga Cornier, mother of Antonio Cornier, OFM, a first-year student at Holy Name College, died Aug. 19. A Memorial Mass was held Aug. 25 in Miami.
Frank Kessing, 88, brother of Bernardine Kessing, OFM, died Aug. 22, in Sayre, Pa. Private funeral services were held in Elmira, N.Y. Remembrance in prayers is deeply appreciated.
John (Jack) Hanlon, twin brother of Capistran Hanlon, OFM, of Siena College, died on Aug. 28, after a short illness. Funeral Mass and burial were private.
Miriam Frances Pierce Scully, 85, sister of Fr. John Pierce, OFM, died Aug. 25. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Aug. 28, at St. Clare’s Church in Scranton Pa.
Theresa Radice, sister of deceased friar Ambrose Haran, OFM, died Aug. 30.
