PITTSBURGH, Pa. — “A Franciscan Perspective on the Incarnation” was the title of the Advent retreat that Sr. Ann Bremmer, OSF, delivered to Holy Name’s postulants and the postulants of the Immaculate Conception Province Dec. 12 – 17 at the motherhouse of the Millvale Franciscan Sisters here.
When they return to their home at Holy Cross Friary in the Bronx this month, the Province’s two postulants are resuming their ministerial assignments as well as their monthly participation in the inter-community candidate program sponsored by the Religious Formation Conference, according to Ronald Pecci, OFM, Holy Name’s postulant director. Their weekly classes in Franciscan studies will also resume.
In the fall, the postulants studied the life of St. Francis, and in the winter they will study the writings of St. Francis, Ronald said, adding that workshops will also continue including liturgy with James Sabak, OFM, and history of the province with Dominic Monti, OFM, Provincial Vicar. They will also participate in a series of discussions with friars of the Province in a variety of ministerial settings, Ronald said.
Earlier this month, the postulants attended the annual formation workshop in Aston, Pa.; see separate story in this newsletter.
