BOSTON — Holy Name’s three postulants were interviewed last month on a Boston radio station to discuss why they chose religious life.
Postulants Scott Carey, Gerald Hopeck and Michael Reyes responded to the question, “Why a Religious Vocation?” on the recently-launched “Talk In The City” radio show. They described what led them to change their lives and join the Franciscans, highlighting what they find most satisfying about their current experience.
The show is presented by the friars of Saint Anthony Shrine and Ministry Center, often called “The Church on Arch Street. Before the Dec. 14 interviews began, moderator Gary Maciag, OFM shared with listeners some information about seasonal programs offered by the Shrine.
“This show addresses some of the issues facing all of us who live in the urban areas of the Northeast corridor of the United States,” said John Maganzini, OFM, the Province’s postulant director.
This weekly program airs Sundays at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Saturdays at 7 a.m., and every evening at 10 o’clock, John said.
“You can listen on the Web at http://www.1510thezone.com,” said John.
The radio show was recorded by Gary.
