RINGWOOD, N.J. — There may have only been three friars marking anniversaries of profession and ordination at Holy Name Friary this year, but together they represented 170 years of ministry.
Friars from around Holy Name Province joined roughly 100 friends and relatives of Martin Bednar, OFM (marking 60 years of profession), Charles Finnegan, OFM (60 years of ordination), and Richard Trezza, OFM (50 years of profession) for a festive jubilee Mass and dinner on June 16 at the Ringwood friary.
Provincial Minister Kevin Mullen, OFM, celebrated the liturgy, which began at 11 a.m. A cocktail hour and catered dinner followed under a tent set up outside on the lawn. The pleasant weather made the celebration that much more enjoyable. An assortment of photos of guests and Ringwood residents was submitted by Paul Chelus, OFM.
Several days later, friars from around the Province gathered again to celebrate their brothers during the June 21 jubilee Mass in New York City. Enjoy these additional photos of the liturgy, taken by Octavio Duran, OFM.
