EASTON, Pa. — The St. Francis Retreat House is celebrating its Jubilee Year, marking 50 years of Franciscan hospitality, with a dinner on Oct. 15.
The celebration, which is open to all, will be held at Northampton Country Club on William Penn Highway, near the retreat center. The festivities will include cocktails, dinner and a silent auction with proceeds benefiting the ministry of the St. Francis Retreat House. A 4:30 p.m. Mass, celebrated by Bishop John Barres of Allentown, Pa., will precede the dinner.
The event will honor the Slovak Franciscan Friars of the former Vice Province of the Holy Savior, founding friars of the retreat house, Br. Ed Skutka, OFM, and Fr. Bill Reisteter, OFM, and Anthony Martocci, past president of the house’s board of directors.
Information about the event is available on the website of St. Francis Retreat House, a ministry of St. John the Baptist Province.
