Sr. Clare Cordeau, OSC, died during Holy Week at St. Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She was 95 years old when she died on April 4.
Russel Murray, OFM, who learned of her death, has asked HNP friars to remember this Poor Clare Sister in their prayers.
Born on June 7, 1927 in Lowell, Massachusetts, Sr. Clare entered religious life on July 11, 1952 and professed her final solemn vows on Jan. 19, 1957. She lived in a contemplative, enclosed community
Visitation is scheduled today (April 12), from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Monastery of St. Clare in Andover, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass of Christian Burial at the monastery. Burial will immediately follow the Mass at St. Mary Cemetery.

Sr. Clare is survived by her cousin, Jackie Hart of Dracut, Massachusetts, and her family of Poor Clare Sisters.
