NEW YORK — Beginning Sept. 19, interested New Yorkers can explore the soul’s journey into God through a course on St. Bonaventure’s Itinerarium at St. Francis of Assisi Church here.
Facilitated by Tony LoGalbo, OFM, director of the parish’s Center for Franciscan Spirituality and Spiritual Direction, the course is not a lecture series, according to an informational flyer. “Participants will be asked to do the required reading for class and select the passages that are meaningful for them to be shared in the group.”
The course costs $20 and class size is limited to 12. Sessions will meet on Saturday afternoons from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 and 26, Oct. 10 and 24, Nov. 7 and 21, and Dec. 5 and 19. To schedule a preliminary interview, contact Tony at 212-736-8500 ext. 253.
The parish is offering many other fall programs, including support groups, “Taking Charge of Your Life” and “Coping with Job Loss,” as well as the “Adjustment to Retirement Lunchtime Series” and RENEW, St. Francis’ younger retiree program.
Information about these and other fall programs can be obtained through promotional flyers available in the parish lobby at 135 West 31st Street and by visiting its Web site.
