HNP Communications Around the Province

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Siena College’s News & Views radio program will welcome Abe Lackman of the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities, to the show on Jan. 6. Host Kevin Mackin, shown at right, will discuss with Lackman New York’s higher education access and  touches on needs in grades kindergarten through 12.

During the second half of News & Views, education students Marie Chelkowski (Spanish), Madeline Gialanella (mathematics), Kelly Jaeger (history) and Alison Reidy (English) explain their experiences as student teachers, and how to keep kids interested in learning. Ken Paulli direct’s Siena’s teacher education program.

On the Siena Alumni Connection with host Mark Grimm ’78, Ruth Richards, Siena’s director of stewardship and donor relations, discusses the college’s 180 endowed scholarships that range from $25,000 to $3.2 million, including the story behind her own family’s endowment.
