NEW YORK — The Christmas season is a good time to remember loved ones, living and deceased, with Mass enrollments.

Available at the parish house of St. Francis of Assisi Church, 135 W. 31st St., New York NY 10001, are two meaningful Christmas cards — one for the Christmas Novena of Masses and another that benefits the St. Francis Breadline.

According to the Dec. 18 bulletin, “Giving a Christmas Breadline card is not only a wonderful way to honor a special person, but you also bring hope to the lives of many poor and homeless people.”

The novena cards feature a color photo of the lower church’s “Perpetual Crèche”; the breadline cards include a color photo of a stained glass window depicting San Damiano in Assisi. Both are $5 each.

Also for sale at St. Francis House are 2012 Franciscan calendars in English and Spanish. Only $2 each, these “unique, Franciscan-themed” calendars include “beautiful, full-color illustrations for each month, plus the celebrations of Franciscan saints,” according to the bulletin.
