WASHINGTON, D.C. — Several programs related to the Thanksgiving season are provided by the National Council of Churches, USA, on its Web site.
This information was recommended by Jacek Orzechowski, OFM, a member of the Province’s Justice, Peace, Integrity of Creation Directorate, who said he had planned to use some of the materials, suggested visiting “At the Lord’s Table: Everyday Thanksgiving.“
“These resources may be helpful for our friars and partners in ministry in engaging themselves in the issue of environmental justice around Thanksgiving,” he said.
The Eco-Justice Program office of the National Council of Churches works in cooperation with the NCC Eco-Justice Working Group to provide an opportunity for the national bodies of member Protestant and Orthodox denominations to work together to protect and restore God’s Creation.
