WEST CLARKSVILLE, N.Y. — The 10th annual Mountain Auction will be held Nov. 6 on the campus of St. Bonaventure University in Allegany. Organizers of the event, which as before includes Mass, refreshments and an auction, welcome donations of gifts for inclusion in the fundraiser for the Mt. Irenaeus Franciscan Mountain Retreat.
The mountain appreciates volunteer assistance, according to Margaret Bryner, chair of the Mountain Auction Committee. She said, “We need you to identify others who can make this year’s auction a success.”
Bryner added, “We would like to extend our circle of alumni and friends of the mountain. There are several ways that people can help.” They include:
· Hosting an at-home or alumni chapter gift gathering party for the mountain
· Attending a gift gathering party
· Identifying SBU alumni and friends who may want to become involved
· Informing Mt. Irenaeus of nearby companies that may be willing to contribute
· Attending the auction
Tickets for the 2010 Mountain Auction will be on sale Sept. 15.
